Problem
We are seeing an unprecedented push to close the digital divide, especially in rural America. Federal subsidies are largely in place. Immediate action will be taken – without a plan, at least at the local governance level. Communities will therefore lose the opportunity to mitigate risk within these newly created broadband networks, largely driven by the non-competitive nature of these buildouts.
Solution

Under Lit’s approach, communities are able to separate ownership of infrastructure from the actual services to ensure fair market access for the providers, and a consumer-friendly suite for the community.
