Beauregard Parish Waterway Debris Removal Project

Timbalier Resources highlights this project given its integration of its land services, grant management, and technology.  Working with partner grant firm, Rostan Solutions, Timbalier Resources' is providing environmental consulting support for the Parish to acquire necessary state and federal permitting for its waterway debris removal project under FEMA's Public Assistance program.  As part of the PA program, applicants must undergo rigorous data calls to validate project needs prior to FEMA approval.  Timbalier Resources was able to develop and train a machine learning model to identify trees that have fallen with the Parish' waterways.  Once identified, Timbalier Resources developed a custom GIS tool that extracted aerial imagery both pre- and post- storm which is then represented in an online mapping interface for FEMA access.
