Northeast Louisiana Railroad District
About this Project
Timbalier Resources has been actively engaged with the Northeast Louisiana Railroad District (NELRD) to revitalize an abandoned railroad line stretching approximately 75 miles from Tallulah, LA, to the Vidalia Port. This project is a critical transportation lifeline for a region heavily reliant on the Mississippi River, which has faced historically low water levels in recent years.
With the potential involvement of federal funding, Timbalier Resources serves as the lead land service advisor to the NELRD, guiding the district through compliance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act (URA). As the district seeks to acquire property interests along the corridor, Timbalier Resources ensures that all processes align with federal regulations, facilitating the successful advancement of this essential infrastructure project.
